Woden Valley was developed from the 1960s, one of the first districts built beyond Canberra’s original inner suburbs, and is centred on its own town centre. Can old gloss trims be repainted with water-based paint?
Yes, with the right preparation. Old oil-based enamel needs cleaning, a light sand and an adhesion primer, otherwise a water-based topcoat can peel.
Do you treat mould before painting?
Yes. We clean and treat mould first, then use a primer and finish suited to wet areas. If moisture is coming from a leak or poor ventilation, that needs fixing too, or the mould will return.
